Now drones to help cops in traffic management

With an aim to maintain smooth traffic flow and proper traffic management, a joint team of Police, BMC and PWD officials inspected Chetak Bridge (Govindpura) trisection and planned for proper regularisation of traffic on Tuesday.
 
 
The Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Pradeep Singh Chouhan said that after inspecting the black spot using ‘drones’ temporary dividers and left turn was created and deployed additional traffic police force to maintain smooth flow of traffic. It was a joint inspection and along with Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Chouhan, SDO of PWD S Gupta, SE of PWD Chandrakant, SDO of PWD Chetak Bridge Ravi Shukla, Sub Engineer of BMC Habib Khan.
 
 
The team discussed two types of planning long term and short-term and in the later stage more feasible and effective panning would be implemented providing relief from traffic chaos. ASP Traffic Pradeep Singh Chouhan said that high level co-ordination meeting with agencies involved in construction and maintenance of roads and traffic signals have been organised and issues have been shared and work are done accordingly but it takes time as there is process involved in the implementation which have to be followed by agencies and police. On Tuesday, black spot number 2- Chetak Bridge (Govindpura side) was inspected using drone camera to identify the issues with the traffic movement, blockades, road construction, rotary, road divider, traffic signals and other objects important for smooth traffic and proper traffic management. A few days ago joint team used the same method used to identify issues at Police Control Room trisection which is one of the black spots identified by the traffic police.
