Cops crack 10-year-old boy’s murder case

The motive behind the murder was to obtain ransom 
 
It took 10 days investigation for police to resolve the blind murder mystery of 10-year-old lad, whose decomposed body was found on 11.4.2019 in one abandoned house situated close to the house of the deceased boy. The lad went missing from 8.4.2019 as it was speculated that he was subjected to abduction and on April 14, the decomposed body was detected. Cops remained clueless about the assailants behind the gruesome murder. Three accused in the murder have been apprehended by police. The motive behind the murder was to obtain ransom.
 
The success for police, having apprehended three accused in the blind murder case, was enunciated by SP Jabalpur Nimish Agrawal in press conference called upon on Thursday at Police Control Room. About the blind murder incident, it may be recalled here, that on 8.4.2019, Satnam Goswami (50), resident of Sagda, had lodged complaint about his 10-year-old nephew named as Badal Giri Goswami who went missing after he went to play in the Mohalla around 10.00 am. It was suspected that some fugitive managed to abduct the lad. In view of complaint filed, cops registered a case under Section 363 of IPC and started investigations. Despite all-round efforts initiated, the boy remained beyond the reach of police and family members, who continued with search for the missing body. On 11.4.2019, the appellant informed that, on Thursday morning, he, along with other family members namely Anand and Mukesh, again ventured in the village in search of the missing nephew.
 
 
While moving through the old deserted house of Ramji Shrepal, they smelt an odour, making them suspect foul and accordingly, stepped in the house and found one plastic bag covered up by heap of flies. The plastic bag was opened up and the family members became speechless as the body of 10-year-old was found decomposed. Having detected the body, police was informed, who reached the spot along with FSL team. Also, that ASP(Rural) Dr Rai Singh Narvaria, CSP Bargi Ravi Chauhan also reached the spot to take stock of the situation. After the decomposed body of the lad was found, Section 364, 302, 201 of IPC was added in the case. Taking gravity of the blind murder of 10-year-old boy, a special team was constituted following orders from SP Jabalpur under the direction of ASP Rural Dr Rai Singh Narvariya and CSP Bargi Ravi Singh Chauhan.
 
 
The team comprised SHO Chargawan Nitin Kamal, SHO Omti Neeraj Verma and SHO Shahpura Ghanshyam Singh Maraskole. In course of investigations carried out, with no immediate clue, cops carried out exhaustive questioning of members of village community. Minute details about the daily routine of the deceased boy along with his path of movement were sought by the investigation team. Finally, a suspect in the case named as Mukesh Shripal was rounded up and brought for interrogation. During interrogation, he revealed that, Guddu alias Manohar Lal Tiwari Anil alias Annu Giri Goswami and himself were in habit of gambling and consumption of liquor. The suspect, in course of interrogation, told that, recently, he and his fellow two associates suffered major loss having lost good amount of money taken on loan in gambling at Gotegaon in Narsinghpur district. To recover the loan amount, they hatched a conspiracy and abducted the 10-year-old boy Badal.
 
 
Having abducted the lad, they kept him hostage in the old discarded house. The family members, who started search for the missing boy, were anguished. Meanwhile, the accused summarily strangulated the boy to death. Several attempts to dispose of the body proved a major problem due to continuous search by police and family members. Finally, they gave up the idea of disposing of the body in Narmada river. In view of confession by Mukesh Shripal, his other two accomplices were arrested. The toil carried out by the investigation team has been rewarded by IG Jabalpur Range Vivek Sharma who has announced cash reward of Rs 25,000 for the police team.
