Crime Branch nabs 4 accused in illegal firearms trade

Cops have seized 3 country-made pistol, one country-made revolver and four live ammunition from the possession of the four accused 
 
Thanks to the active stance of police in view of upcoming Lok Sabha election that, on Thursday, acting on tip-off, Crime Branch succeeded in apprehending four miscreants involved in illegal trade of firearms. Cops have seized 3 country-made pistol, one country-made revolver and four live ammunition from the possession of the four accused. The success for police was told to media by SP Jabalpur Nimish Agrawal on Thursday evening. According to information, on Thursday, one informer informed Crime Branch about some people with criminal bent of mind looking for potential customers to dispose off firearms in ground situated on Bhaisasur Road.
 
Having obtained the information, senior officers were apprised. Accordingly, a team was constituted headed by SHO Cantt Vijay Tiwari along with Crime Branch. The team reached the said location and instantly apprehended the four miscreants. The miscreants revealed their identity as Abolesh Kotaaiya Kori (35), resident of Purani ret Basti, Gwarighat, Shambhu Ranjeet Thakur (40), resident of Tagore Nagar, Gwarighat, Ashish alias Bhura Ramnarayan Patel (39), resident near Bargi Railway Station of Bargi police station and Narbad Deley alias Bhura Munnilal Deley (36), resident of Shivpuri Kajarwara of Gorabazar police station. Cops recovered 3 country-made pistol, one country-made revolver and four live ammunition from the possession of the four accused. Brought to police station in course of interrogation to reveal the source of procurement, the accused told police that they purchased the pistol for Rs 20,000 and country-made revolver for Rs 5,000 from Gwalior district.
 
All four apprehended have adverse criminal record and are booked for heinous crime like gangrape, murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, gambling and the like at Cantt, Gorakhpur, Garha, Civil Lines, Gwarighat police stations. The four nabbed are members of miscreant’s gang named as Assu Thakur. A case under Section 25/27 of Arms Act has been registered at Cantt police station. The joint police team headed by SHO Cantt Vijay Tiwari included ASI Rajesh Shukla, Dhananjay Singh, Vijay Shukla, Brahmaprakash Mishra, Mohit Upadhyay, Deepak Raghuvanshi from Crime Branch and from Cantt police station, were SI Jaya Tiwari, Ramsuhawan Khemkaran, Teekaram, Yogendra, Shaniram, Narendra. SP Jabalpur Nimish Agrawal, content with the work, has announced cash reward for the police team.
