Normal life is being badly affected by the sweltering heat in State. Heat wave persisted in Khargone and Sidhi on Monday. Other parts have some relief from heat as maximum temperature got reduced in marginal manner. For instance, Bhopal recorded maximum temperature at 38.4 degrees Celsius and it was one degree less from Sunday. The highest maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius was recorded in Khargone. Weather Department stated that maximum temperatures declined substantially in districts of Sagar division.

However, maximum temperature was above normal in districts of Shahdol division. Jabalpur and Bhopal division also recorded maximum temperature above normal level. In its forecast, Weather Department told that heat wave is likely in some parts of Sagar, Hoshangabad, Indore divisions. Weather Department has advised people to abstain themselves from coming into contact of direct sunrays.

It also advised people that they should also start wearing light colour clothes, mainly made from cotton. The head should be properly covered either by scarf or cap and one should drink water as much as possible. The partial relief in heat due to declination in temperatures is not going to last long as weather department has predicted rise in mercury level. The forecast for Bhopal says that sky would be clear and maximum temperature would be around 39 degrees Celsius.

Even as temperatures have declined marginally, people could not have respite from heat as even at normal level, it is difficult to face the sun. During noon hours, one can feel the skin burning sensation. For two-wheeler riders, summer comes as a big problem as they come in direct contact of sun rays. To protect their face from hot sun rays, people have started to cover their faces with scarf while riding two-wheelers.
