BJP demands permission for PM’s rally in Jabalpur

A BJP delegation, led by party Vice President Vijesh Lunawat, reached the Election Commission’s office and submitted a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer V L Kanta Rao, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is supposed to address public meeting in Jabalpur on April 26, but permission is not being given in this regard. It accused Congress of creating hurdles and demanded action against it.
 
 
BJP said that PM Narendra Modi’s public rally is proposed to be held at Shaheed Smarak in Jabalpur on April 26. There is enough arrangement at the public meeting venue and earlier also many big public rallies were held there. Shaheed Smarak is open from all around and has enough sitting arrangement. But then also, permission is not being given. BJP accused Chief Secretary of misusing his position and building pressure on his subordinates. It also accused Congress candidate from Jabalpur Lok Sabha, Vivek Tankha, who is a reputed advocate of Supreme Court, of creating hurdles in deliberate manner.
 
 
BJP stated that SDO is denying permission for proposed rally of PM by saying that there is not sufficient parking place. BJP demanded that permission for PM’s rally in Jabalpur should be granted immediately.
BJP delegation also included Shantilal Lodha, S S Uppal, Rahul Kothari, Durgesh Keswani, Narendra Shivraj Patel, Om Shankar Shrivastava etc.
