DPS celebrates School Creativity, Innovation Day

‘Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovative is doing new things.’ In order to develop such creativity in thinking and innovation in action, Delhi Public School, Mandla road leaves no stone unturned. Every lesson is conceived in well-planned way to devise these qualities among students. Everyday classroom teaching nurtures the originality and creativity of every child giving platform to showcase their talents. Pertaining to the tradition, The School Creativity And Innovation Day was celebrated on Saturday to venerate the talent of the students. The day began with the special assembly by the orators of classes VI-VIII taking the audience into their stride. Later, in the afternoon, a special exhibition raising concern on Creativity and Innovation in classroom teaching was inaugurated by Colonel Kanchan Bhattacharya, retired from signals a core of Indian Military and a renowned poet writing in English.
 
Students of classes IX-XII debated on Indian education is rote learning with no space for creativity and innovation. A day prior, students of classes VI-VIII participated in caricature-making, venting their thoughts on social, environmental and political issues. Addressing the gathering, Principal, Aparna Choubey enlightened the guests with the activities school provides to enhance their capacities. She appreciated the endeavours of the students, who participated in various competitions.
 
Talking to the students, Colonel Bhattacharya appreciated the endeavors and highlighted the importance to explore one’s ability. Giving his own example, Col. Bhattacharya asked students to hear the class of their heart. The day was a grand success in the presence of members of the staff, Principal, Aparna Choubey and members of the management Dr H L Prajapati, Satya Narayan and Shalvi, who always withstand to support the students and the teachers.
