Man gets 10-yr RI for raping minor daughter

A Bhopal court convicted a man in a rape case of his own minor daughter and awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment with fine Rs 2,000 on Monday. District Public Prosecution Office Media In-charge Yogesh Tiwari said that, the accused Ratiram Ahirwar, 44, son of Jalam Singh, resident of House Number-120, Samta Nagar Colony, near Chhoti Masjid, Chhola Mandir has been convicted by the court of 23rd Session Judge Vandana Tiwari under Section-506 of IPC and awarded 3 year rigorous imprisonment with fine Rs 500 and 10 years rigorous imprisonment with fine Rs 2,000 under Section-376(2) of IPC.
 
 
Yogesh Tiwari informed that, the 15-year-old victim lodged complaint at police station on April 4, 2018 that her mother Chandrani had died in an accident four years ago and after that, her father accused Ratiram had been raping her and when she resisted, the accused threatened to kill her, two sisters, a brother and step-mother Sammu Bai. The accused had solemnised court marriage with Sammu Bai in Jabalpur in September 2017. The victim had shared about the incident with her sisters, brother, step-mother, school teacher and Principal. The case was registered at Chhola Police Station and after probe, the challan was produced in court. Additional Session Judge Vandana Jain, on evidences, found the accused Ratiram guilty and convicted him. Special Public Prosecution Officer Vandana Parte conducted the prosecution of case successfully and Assistant District Prosecution Officer Seema Ahirwar assisted her in trial of case.
