Polling team member killed in accident

A polling team member died and others suffered severe injuries when the vehicle in which they were travelling hit a tree on the roadside near Karamdiha Syahi turn on Monday evening. The injured have been admitted at Wadrafnagar Community Health Center.
The deceased was identified as Ganesh Kumar, a government teacher. According to police sources, polling team after receiving the poll material was on its way to respective polling booths for Lok Sabha election in Balrampur. As the SUV reached near Karamdiha Syahi turn, the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle rammed into a roadside tree.
The hit was so severe that the man died whereas other suffered severe injuries. The driver of the SUV Vinod Manjhi after preliminary treatment has been referred to Ambikapur district Hospital. Soon after the incident, Wadrafnagar police and Basantpur police reached the spot and started investigation.
