Two miscreants held with stolen mobiles, bike

Teelajamalpura police have nabbed two miscreants from Sindhi Colony and recovered two mobile phones and a motorbike worth Rs 1 lakh from their possession on Sunday. After receiving information of two youths trying to sell mobile phones, police team reached the spot and detained the two and asked regarding the details of the mobile phone which they failed to provide and when they were asked to unlock the mobile phone, none of the two provided correct way to unlock mobile phone. The accused, identified as Mohammad Altaf (23) and Kaifi alias Salman (23), were nabbed while they were trying to sell mobile phones. Nabbed accused have past criminal record and were involved in burglary, robbery and thefts in different areas of the city.
 
They have been booked for theft, robbery and possession of arms illegally by Nishatpura and Teelajamalpura police. The accused have targeted a woman near Sai Baba temple on April 16 who was talking over mobile phone and they robbed her mobile phone. Details of the motorbike are yet to be investigated. Police have recovered two mobile phones and one motorbike worth Rs 1 lakh from their possession. Accused used to target victims talking over mobile phone while walking. Whereas, live cartridge and a country-made pistol have been recovered in Kolar on Monday and a case under relevant section of Arms Act has been registered. Acting on a tip-off, Kolar police swooped down upon Vikram Yadav, 34, and recovered a live cartridge and country-made pistol from his possession. It was his unlicensed pistol.
 
Vikram was roaming for the long time and as it was his unlicensed pistol, so informer provided solid clue to police about this arm. Police team first rounded him and then swooped down.During the interrogation, Vikram did not give satisfactory reply. Ultimately, arms and live cartridge and his country-made pistol were seized under Arms Act. Meanwhile, solar system and batteries worth Rs 60,000 were burgled from Chola Mandir area on Sunday. The victim Rituraj Singh lodged complaint that solar panel and four batteries were burgled in the evening. Police have registered a case under Section 457 and 380 of the IPC.
