CM Kamal Nath bats for Vivek Tankha

CHIEF Minister Kamal Nath appealed to the voters of Sihora to support Congress by voting for Congress candidate from Jabalpur Vivek Krishn Tankha on April 29. He was addressing a public meeting on Tuesday. He informed the mammoth gathering that AICC President Rahul Gandhi has selected Vivek Krishna Tankha, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) as Congress candidate from Jabalpur.
 
 
Criticising 15 years term of BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan and five years regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Centre, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said, “Madhya Pradesh tops the list in crime against women and children, malnutrition, farmers suicide and empty accounts in hands. We have will and vision to work for farmers in just 48 hours Congress Government decided to waive off loans of farmers upto Rs 2 lakh. Till now, 23 lakh farmers’ loans have been waived off. While other promises related to social security pension, marriages, etc. have been fulfilled in just 75 days of functioning.” He also highlighted initiatives of Vivek Krishn Tankha towards development of Jabalpur.
 
 
“On appeal of Vivek Krishn Tankha the first ever Cabinet Meeting of State Government was held in Jabalpur. In this meeting, project worth Rs 2700 crore were sanctioned in a day for development of Jabalpur district,” said Kamal Nath. The Chief Minister further assured to give proper attention of demand raised by Vivek Krishn Tankha to declare district status for Sihora and to develop better medical and education facilities in this area, which has been neglected since last many years.
 
Earlier, Vivek Krishn Tankha revising his commitment to work for development of Jabalpur said Jabalpur is facing lack of strong representation since past three decades could not be developed. He promised a bright future for Jabalpur in terms of industry, employment and development focusing needs of citizens in future generation. Tankha said around 10,000 youth are bound to migrate to other cities in search of employment. As well as a large number of people form Mahakoshal region are bound to go to other cities for medical facilities as in past three decades no initiative have been taken to upgrade medical facilities. Similar is the situation of higher education, skill development and city developments. He urged people to compare the past three terms of Member of Parliament of BJP from Jabalpur and the present situation of city caused due to weak political representation.
