“To strengthen national security, for political stability, for unprecedented development of country, for people’s welfare, for increasing prestige of India in world, we need to crown Narendra Modi again as PM by giving mandate to BJP,” Swaraj asserted

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said, country needs Narendra Modi like person as Prime Minister because he has given a new direction to nation. He has instilled fear in the hearts of terrorists. She was addressing public meeting in support of party’s Vidisha Lok Sabha candidate Ramakant Bhargava in Raisen on Tuesday. “To strengthen national security, for political stability, for unprecedented development of country, for people’s welfare, for increasing prestige of India in world, we need to crown Narendra Modi again as PM by giving mandate to BJP,” she asserted.

She also remembered her connection with Vidisha, which sent her to Parliament twice - first in 2009 and second time in 2014. Underlining that Vidisha’s development work will never get slow, she said that, whatever development work she did as MP in Vidisha, 50 times more work was done by Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Chief Minister and more than 100 times development work were done by PM Narendra Modi.

“As I am not well healthwise, I expressed desire not to contest election and therefore, Ramakant Bhargava has been picked up to serve Vidisha Parliament Constituency,” she said. Ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also addressed the rally in support of party’s candidate Ramakant Bhargava and told that development has taken a backseat in Congress regime. However, transfer industry is flourishing. “One officer is transferred four times in a day,” he alleged.

He added that, when terrorist attack used to happen during Congress rule in country, then PMs were not even able to speak up. “But our PM has clearly stated if you fire we will lob bomb,” he told. He further added that, party candidate Ramakant Bhargava not even once expressed his feeling for ticket, but party decided to pick him up as candidate. He appealed people to give their mandate to Ramakant Bhargava. On this occasion, Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava, ex Minister Rampal Singh, ex-Minister Gauri Shankar Shejwar, MLA Surendra Patwa, etc. were also present.
