Woman, 2 kids killed in ghastly mishap

The horrifying incident took place when driver of a speeding car heading towards Katni from Secunderabad lost control and the vehicle overturned on the other side of NH 7 and two other cars travelling from Lakhnadaun towards Seoni rammed one by one into overturned car
 
 
A woman and her two children, residents of Jabalpur, were killed and six persons were critically injured in a collision between three cars on National Highway – 7 at Bandol by-pass, located at a distance of 16 kilometres from Seoni district headquarters. The deceased have been identified as Anuja Dev (39), wife of Ashish Dev and her two kids Arrv (6) and Arhana (11), residents of Krishna Colony, Jabalpur. Ashish Dev, Dr Dhanvan Shah (40), his wife Ranjita (38) and their daughter Tanvi (10), residents of Professor Colony, Lakhnadaun, Pawan Jack (50) and his son, Parag (24), residents of Katni district, were critically injured. According to police, the incident took place when the driver of a speeding car heading towards Katni from Secunderabad (MP 10 BD 3836) lost control and the vehicle overturned on the other side of National Highway-7 and two other cars )MP 22 CA 1167 and MP 21 CA 4716) travelling from Lakhnadaun towards Seoni rammed one by one into the overturned car. Those travelling in car (MP 21 CA 4716), Anuja Dev and her son Arrv and daughter Arhana succumbed to their critical injuries on the spot and her husband Ashish Dev was critically injured. Besides this, Dr Dhanvan Shah, his wife Ranjita and daughter Tanvi travelling in car (MP 22 CA 1167) and Pawan Jack and his son Parag travelling in car (MP 10 BD 3836) were injured. Police team reached the spot and rushed the injured at District Government Hospital with the help of locals. Injured were given primary treatment and one was referred to Nagpur for treatment of critical injuries. Police sent the bodies for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama and handed them over to relatives. Two of the three cars were completely damaged in the tragic accident. The damaged cars were removed from the national highway with the help of crane. Seoni police have registered intimation while further investigations are underway to ascertain reason behind the incident.
