Strong room at GEC Sejbahar sealed; Collector thanks all for smooth polling

A Day after the third phase Lok Sabha elections 2019 concluded in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, Electronics Voting Machines (EVMs) from Dharsiwa, Raipur Rural, Raipur City (West), Raipur City (North), Raipur City (South), Abhanpur and Arang assembly segments were sealed in the strong room on Wednesday in the presence of general observer Keshav Kumar Pathak and Chandrashekhar, Police observer Ranjit Mishra, District Election Officer Dr Basavaraju S and representatives of various political parties. It is to be mentioned, E-Block, Government Engineering College, Sejbahar, has been made as strong room which would be opened on May 23 the date of counting of votes.

The District Election Officer on the occasion informed the representatives of the political parties about the procedures involved. Meanwhile, the District Election Officer has expressed his gratefulness to those directly or indirectly contributed to the success and smooth polling in Raipur. He said that the all the employees and officials, security officials, print and electronics media played a great role in making the festival of democracy a big success in Raipur. He said that a total of 13,93,210 voters exercised their franchise in Raipur Lok Sabha poll.
