FORMER Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is doing whirlwind tour of Madhya Pradesh and holding public rallies in support of party candidates. On Thursday, Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed public rallies in Ujjain, Shajapur, Jhabua and came down heavily on Congress. In the election rallies, Chouhan said that soaring mercury is breaking all records and akin to it, Congress and Rahul Gandhi are also breaking the record of speaking lies.

“Earlier, Congress lied to the country and now it came to power in State with the help of a lie,” he quipped. Chouhan took on Kamal Nath Government and accused it of misguiding people and farmers of State. He said that the Congress Government had earlier assured to waive off farmers loan upto Rs 2 lakh but no loan waiver took place even after three months of forming Government. He also alleged that the State Government is unable to supply electricity and on the contrary, it is indulging in suspending electricity employees.

“We challenge Chief Minister Kamal Nath that if he is unable to run the Government then he should vacate the chair, we will show how the Government is run,” he asserted. Chouhan claimed that during Congress regime in the country, during any terrorist attack the then Prime Minister used to remain silent. On the other hand, PM Narendra Modi has given a befitting reply to terrorists in Pakistan. On the occasion, Union Minister Thawarchand Gehlot, Satyanarayan Jatia, Chintaman Malviya etc were also present.
