BOTH BJP and Congress have intensified campaigning, political activities have reached crescendo in Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Congress candidate Digvijay Singh are busy in hectic poll campaigns. On Thursday, Digvijay Singh reached among Saharia tribals in Berasia and said that promise included in Vachan Patra in connection with backward tribals will be fulfilled by Kamal Nath Government. Along with other backward tribal caste, Saharia will also get Rs 1500 per month. Remembering Birsa Munda and B R Ambedkar, he said that the Congress was the first party which gave a chance to a tribal to become a candidate. It is only Congress which can work towards welfare of tribals.

He sought support of tribals in the election. He also addressed a public meeting in Dhammara village and said that a dam could not be built in Dhammara as land of a BJP leader was coming under submergence. On undeclared power cut, he said that it is happening due to negligence of power employees and government has acted on such incidents by sacking 375 employees.

“Power supply is interrupted by electricity employees and Congress gets defamed,” he added. On the other hand, Sadhvi Thakur addressed programmes in Sehore. She spent entire day in Sehore and spoke to people. Notably, election of Bhopal Lok Sabha seat has become interesting battle as Digvijay Singh is contesting against fire brand Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur.
