Burglary at State Bank of India Urla branch

Exposing the reality of police claims about night patrolling and negligence of bank authority, unidentified burglars broke into State Bank of India (SBI) located near Urla police station.Although, the burglars failed to enter the bank’s strong-room, the accused managed to escape with Rs 1,400 and a few dairies kept in a drawer.
 
“On intervening night of April 25 and April 26, burglars broke into SBI Urla Branch by making a hole in bank’s wall. The burglars failed to enter the strong-room but made away with Rs 1,400 and around four dairies. Based onCCTV footages and evidences collected from the crime scene, police will soon arrest the burglars indulged in the crime,” said a police officer.
 
According to police, as the news of burglary in the nationalised bank was receipt, a team from Urla police station accompanied by Gudhiyars police along with experts from Cyber Cell and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) rushed to the spot for undertaking Crime Scene Investigation (CSI). Prima-facie it seems that unprofessional gang might have executed the crime and soon, the gang will be in police grip.
 
During the course of investigation, it came to light that the bank was not having a single guard when incident took place. Following the complaint of bank authority, police have registered an offence against the accused under Sections 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), which amounting to lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment and theft in dwelling house, said police, adding that further investigation in the case is underway.
