Modi’s stature bigger than a PM: Bhargava

“INCREASING popularity of Narendra Modi has made his stature bigger than a Prime Minister. All the Opposition leaders have united against one man. The grand alliance of 32 political parties has been formed for Lok Sabha election-2019 but has failed to contain the growing popularity of Narendra Modi,” said BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava. He was giving welcome speech during a grand public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Garrison Ground, Cantonment on Friday. Addressing the public meeting, BJP candidate Rakesh Singh charged the Congress leaders of making false claims of development but failed in fulfilling basic needs of citizens and development of the country during 55 years’ governance.
 
He informed that in five years, under the governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development works worth Rs 6,000 crore have been started only in Jabalpur. Cement concrete construction of National Highway 12, 12 A and NH-7 and NH-6 has been started, while Jabalpur-Amarkantak highway is being constructed with a budget of Rs 1,265 crore. Besides this, road construction of Rs 400 crore has been approved in Jabalpur and Techno IT Park of Rs 100 crore has been established in Jabalpur.
 
Singh added that Jabalpur-Gondia Railway Broad Gauge Project was started during the governance of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee which was progressing at snail’s pace during Congress-led UPA Government. The project was given pace by Modi Government with allocation of Rs 971 crore and going to complete in next two months. Rail electrification from Jabalpur-Itarsi-Naini rail route is going to complete in next four months with a budget of Rs 862 crore by Modi Government.
 
Madan Mahal Railway Station will be developed as terminal station with a project of Rs 120 crore. State’s longest flyover of Rs 750 crore will be constructed in Jabalpur while ring-road project of Rs 2,000, Science Centre of Rs 17 crore and extension of Jabalpur Airport is being carried out with a budget of Rs 421 crore. All these development works are being carried out with a grand budget worth Rs 14,400 crore. He also informed that Modi Government started several public welfare schemes to change lifestyle of poor families including PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, PM Suraksha Bandhan Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
 
Around 54,000 families benefited with homes in Jabalpur, more than six crore families were given free LPG connections, including 1.37 lakh in Jabalpur, 42,000 free electricity connections in Jabalpur, 7.35 lakh benefited with PM Suraksha Bandhan Bima Yojana and 2.25 lakh persons benefited with Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. MPHC Justice (retired), S P Singh took membership of BJP who was given saffron safa at the hands of Modi.
 
BJYM workers led by State President Abhilash Pandey conducted Swachhta Abhiyan at Garrison Ground under supervision of Rajmani Baghel, Vivek Sharma, Titu Sonkar, Shrikant Verma and workers. Public meeting witnessed a mammoth gathering of people from all sections of the society.
 
Groups of youngsters reached the venue of public meeting with masks of Narendra Modi and wearing cap of Main Bhi Chowkidar. Youth, children and women showed their passion with placards and attiring saffron.
