Pragya Thakur withdraws nomination in support of BJP’s Sadhvi Pragya

In a breather to BJP, an independent Lok Sabha candidate Pragya Thakur withdrew her nomination papers in favour of BJP Lok Sabha candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur on Friday.
 
It was in the morning hours that independent candidate Pragya Thakur reached the residence of BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and announced that she will support Sadhvi Pragya and will campaign for her. She told that she had taken decision to withdraw nomination paper. She also took the pledge to re-crown Narendra Modi as PM of the country. On this occasion, BJP National Vice President Prabhat Jha, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Spokesman Rahul Kothari and other BJP workers were also present.
 
Notably, as BJP Lok Sabha candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Independent candidate Pragya Thakur have same name hence BJP feared that same name could create confusion in the minds of voters. BJP leadership approached independent candidate Pragya Thakur and she readily give up decision to contest election as independent candidate.
