4 held, pistols, live cartridges, knife seized

Madhotal police nabbed four accused and seized two pistols, four live cartridges, two empty shells and a knife from them. Arrested have been identified as Suyash alias Chhotu Choubey (24), son of Chandrashekhar Choubey, resident of near Chhota Jain Mandir, Kachnar City, Nikhil Naidu alias Anna (23), son of Krishnamurty Naidu of Kalimath in Madan Mahal, Haider Ayaz alias Noor Khan (30), son of Zafar Ayaz of Naya Mohalla in Omti and Gaurav alias Chhotu Birha (21), son of Rakesh Birha, a resident of Lakadganj in Belbagh.
 
One of the arrested named Gaurav Birha was absconding in a case of attempting murder in Gora Bazar area and SP Jabalpur had declared cash reward of Rs. 2,500 on him. It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Nimish Agrawal police have started a special campaign against illegal used and possession of fire arms under the supervision of Additional SP (South), Dr Sanjeev Uikey and CSP, Garha, Amit Tolani for better enforcement of Election Model Code of Conduct during Lok Sabha Election – 2019. During the campaign police received information, on April 26, about a miscreant named Chhotu alias Suyash Choubey who was firing bullets near Castle Marriage Garden near Katangi by-pass. Acting promptly on the information, a police team led by SHO of Madhotal police station, Anil Gupta reached the spot where the miscreant tried to escape but alert cops arrested him and seized a pistol loaded with one cartridge and two empty shells from the spot. Police had registered a case under Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act. In further investigation, Chhotu Choubey informed that he purchased two pistols from Damoh district and given one of the pistols to Nikhil Naidu.
 
Police started a search and named Nikhil Naidu and seized a knife from him. In the interrogation, Naidu informed that he sold out the pistol given by Chhotu Choubey to Noor Khan in Naya Mohalla. On his identification, police team nabbed Noor Khan and seized a pistol and three live cartridges from him and registered a case under Section 25 and 27 of Arms Act. Similarly, police received information about a criminal named Gaurav alias Chhotu Birha who was absconding in a case of attempting murder was sight near Deendayal Bus Stand.
 
Taking prompt action on the information, police team started a search and nabbed the accused. The accused were apprehended with active working of police team led by SHO of Madhotal, Anil Gupta comprised of SI, Brijesh Mishra, ASI, Santosh Masram, Manoj Choudhary, Head Constables, Ajay Pandey, Pancham Yadav, Rajesh Verma, Constables, Mahesh Pandey, Sandeep, Ravi, Shashi Prakash, Shailendra Patwa, Ashwani and Vinit.
