The Khosla Ka Ghosla and Bheja Fry actor, Vinay Pathak, feels in a democracy everyone has the rights to speak and whatever said by a section in the film fraternity regarding this general elections was genuine. “This is democratic country and I don’t feel anybody should be prevented from presenting his/her views even though I am not part of that episode,” said Pathak while replying to the question if he supports an appeal made by a group of bollywood fraternity not to vote for BJP in the ongoing General elections. The Johnny Gaddaar actor stated these while interacting with the mediapersons on the sideline of an event jointly organised by Dr C V Raman University, Bilaspur and AISECT at Hotel V W Canyon. To another query, Pathak, who had played supporting roles in high profile movies like Jism and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, said that he has not that much ‘talent’ to join politics.

“I am not that much talented to live upto the expectations of the people while in politics. Further, I am doing whatever the social workers or political leaders do. Being an actor I am entertaining the people of the society to keep them happy which I think is equally tough job to do,” asserted Pathak. Speaking about the event, Pathak appreciated the efforts of Dr C V Raman University and AISECT to arrange such events for their students. “My role was to get them (students) recharged. I shared my struggle and success and failure which, I think, inspire them in future,” concluded Pathak. AISECT Director Siddharth Chaturvedi and Dr C V Raman University Registrar Gaurav Shukla were also present on the occasion.
