MLA Singh complains of chest pain; hospitalised

Senior Congress leader and sitting MLA from Ramanujganj Assembly constituency Brihaspati Singh was on Sunday rushed to Ramkrishna Care Hospital in Raipur after he complained of chest pain. Earlier, MLA Singh was admitted to the Government Medical College Ambikapur in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday following chest pain.
 
Speaking to The Hitavada over telephone, Medical Superintendent of Government Medical College Ambikapur Dr R K Das confirmed that MLA Brihaspati Singh was admitted to the Government Medical College Ambikapur around 1.30 am owing to chest pain. Dr Das further said Electrocardiography (ECG) of Brihaspati Singh was done two times and it was found normal.
 
As there was no cardiologist in Government Medical College Ambikapur, the MLA was referred to Ramkrishna Care Hospital Raipur for further treatment, he said. Brihaspati Singh’s son said that his father had chest pain due to gastric and he was hospitalised at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Medical College Ambikapur. MLA Singh was brought to Raipur for treatment by road.
