“Congress Party is trying to strengthen Jehadis and weakening the national security forces to take its political mileage in Lok Sabha Election - 2019. Election manifesto of Congress Party has cleared its intentions to reduce the presence of Indian armed forces in Jammu & Kashmir by removing the protection shield like Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA), removing security forces in the valley and continuing Section 370 and 35A for protection of terrorists. Former J&K Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti is not less than an anti-national as she born in India but has patriotism for Pakistan to support terror activities in the valley,” charged Sushil Pandit, Co-founder of Roots in Kashmir and expert on Kashmir related issues while addressing a press conference, on Tuesday.

Sushil Pandit said that, Congress had implemented the AFSPA for security of Army. Now, Congress is trying to remove the Act due to cheap vote bank politics and putting national security at stake. He charged that, Kashmiri Pandits were displaced from Kashmir valley but none of the Governments took initiative for their rehabilitation and shouldered responsibility of their security. Indian Army is the main target of terrorists in Kashmir. National security forces are struggling against the terrorists and Jehadis and the Government needs to strengthen their hands for elimination of anti-nationals in the valley. Instead of supporting the anti-terror operations of security forces, Congress leaders are trying to reinstate their dominance in Kashmir and removing armed forces. AFSPA is like a protection shield for Indian Army to evade fake charges on its working against terrorists, but Congress’ bid to remove the act will bring the Indian Army on back-foot.

Sushil Pandit applauded the initiative of youngsters in Jabalpur who taken out a grand Gada Yatra to symbolise the victory of truth over evil and ensuring security of citizens. During the press conference, Hindu Seva Parishad, State President, Atul Jeswani, Nitin Sonpali, Saurabh Jain and Jitendra Chimnani were present.
