Good Samaritans hands over money found to cops

Two Durg based young businessmen recently proved that honesty is the best policy when they returned Rs 33,870 to the police which they had found lying on the street just outside their house at Gandhi Chowk, Durg. The money was wrapped in a bundle of clothes and after noticing it, the youths rushed to the police station and handed it over to the police. Durg police is appreciating the youths and have now launched massive investigations to trace the owner of the money.
 
According to information, the Good Samaritans Saurabh Jain and Shubham Jain reside at Gandhi Chowk, near Jain Temple at Durg. In the wee hours of Monday, on stepping out of the home, the duo noticed a bundle of clothes lying unclaimed on the street. On examining it, the duo found that several notes in denominations of Rs 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 were wrapped in the bundle of clothes. Expecting that someone could have lost it, the duo initially waited for the claimant but after nobody approached them they finally went to the police station.
 
The money wrapped in a bundle of cloth was finally handed over to the City Kotwali Police Station House Officer (SHO), Suresh Kumar Dhruw. On counting the currency, it was revealed that the clothes contained Rs 33,870. Meanwhile, the police later kept the money in the store room. The police also lauded the youths for their honesty and for also being good citizens. Meanwhile, the Police have also launched investigations to trace the owner.
