JMC leaves no stone unturned

Municipal Corporation (JMC) made elaborate arrangements to encourage voters to exercise their franchise and provide them good facilities at polling centres on Monday. The civic body has established all women booths in areas having more women voters and also made selfie-points at the centres. JMC employees decorated beautifully special polling booths to attract voters. Likewise, students of Government Polytechnic College made beautiful rangoli at all women booths. For convenience of voters, JMC ensured proper sheds at the polling centres.
 
It also made potable water arrangement for voters. To take stock of arrangements at polling centres, District Returning Officer Chhavi Bhardwaj along with SVEEP Nodal Officer Rajni Singh, Municipal Commissioner Chandramauli Shukla and others visited several areas and gave necessary directions to officers concerned. They also held discussion with voters and took their suggestions about arrangements. People hailed efforts of Municipal Corporation and said such initiatives encourage people to come out and vote in large numbers and be a part of the biggest festival of democracy.
 
Voters, especially women and first-time voters, enjoyed taking pictures at selfie points at the polling centres. Besides, they also hailed beautiful rangolis made at booths to welcome voters. In all, good civic arrangements like cleanliness, potable water, decorated polling booths, rangoli, sheds proved a major attraction for voters, who felt elated after reaching booths.
