CM releases Congress theme song for Lok Sabha elections

Chief Minister Kamal Nath released the theme song of Congress for Lok Sabha elections at party office in the State capital on Wednesday evening. The two-minute nine seconds song of Congress has been prepared by keeping farmers, traders, common men and youths into focus. The song starts with line ‘Pukare Madhya Pradesh, Sun Lo Ye Sandesh, Desh Ke Dil Se Delhi Tak Ab Hogi Congress….,’. Later, interacting with mediapersons, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that it was former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi who helped country in entering into 21st century by ushering into the world of computer.
 
The party’s manifesto for Lok Sabha election 2019, released by Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Tuesday, is focused on second decade of 21st century that how India should enter into year 2020. Taking on Modi government, he told that in last five years, people of every sector, including big industrialists, are feeling duped. Now, people of country are seeking accountability of last five years from PM Narendra Modi. Talking about BJP’s rhetoric on nationalism, national security and on Pakistan, he wanted to know that whether before arrival of PM Narendra Modi, whether country was not secure. “I feel that in present time of Modiji, country is insecure,” he asserted. He added that it was during Congress period that country got National Defence Academy, Sainik Schools etc. He told that he is getting feedback from districts that people have understood the reality and is ready to give befitting reply to BJP. He also said that earlier it was being told that Congress is weak in Bhopal and Jabalpur, but he claims that Congress is going to win at both places. He said that BJP’s tactic of diverting attention would not succeed.
 
Underlining the difficulties faced by people during demonetisation, he told that demonetisation also snatched money from poor women who have saved money by hiding from the eyes of husband and mother in law. On this occasion, he also read out some points from the Congress manifesto released by party’s National President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday and spoke at length on some points including Nyay Yojana which promises minimum income to poor. He also shed light on his Government’s decision to waive off farmers loan upto Rs 2 lakh by saying that he had done six months study before announcing loan waiver.
 
The study was focused on from where the money will come. Belying the allegations of BJP that no loan has been waived off farmers, he told that 22 lakh farmers loan has been waived off and after Lok Sabha elections, remaining farmers loan would be waived off. He also told that separate budget would be prepared for agriculture. He also praised decision of erstwhile Digvijay Singh government decision to decentralise the powers to strengthen the panchayats. He said Madhya Pradesh is having market economy comprising big industries and second is informal economy which is more important. The loan waiver is only a balm for farmers as now his government is pondering to bring big revolution into agriculture sector. On this occasion, former union minister Suresh Pachauri, Media Cell Chairperson Shobha Ojha and other leaders were also present.
