Man shoots self after denied car to party with friends

AN MBA graduate committed suicide by shooting himself with a country-made pistol in an inebriated state after he was not allowed to take car to party with his friends in Awadhpuri area on Wednesday night, informed police. According to SHO of Awadhpuri Mangilal Bhati, deceased Shailendra Singh (26), son of Bhupendra Singh, a resident of Shivlok Colony in Khajuri Kalan area of Awadhpuri. He was a MBA graduate and worked as an executive in real estate company after which he left it and was unemployed from past two years. He got married to Paramjeet Kaur three years ago but the couple was issueless. Deceased’s parents Bhupendra and Geeta Devi are Government school teachers in Lalitpur district of UP.
 
They had recently come to Bhopal to look after Shailendra’s ailing grandfather who was hospitalised here. Deceased’s uncle Ajendra Singh and cousin brother Shubham and sister Rubi were also present at the home on incident night. It was his birthday on April 1 and he celebrated it with his friends with whom he had liquor in the party. However, a few of his friends were left so he wanted to celebrate and throw a party for them on Wednesday night. On Wednesday at around 9:30 pm, he returned home after visiting his ailing grandfather in the hospital and told his wife and parents that he is going to meet his friends as they were demanding a party.
 
As Shailendra was already drunk, they refused to allow him to go outside from the house and also take away keys of car. Irked over this, he went outside the home where after taking a walk for a while he went inside his room and locked the door following which he broke LED TV mounted on wall and later shot himself on his head with a country-made pistol. Later, the family members rushed him to National Hospital where he was declared brought dead. A case under Section 174 of CrPC has been registered by police and after post-mortem at Hamidia Hospital on Thursday his body was handed over to the family members for last rituals.
