After a disclosure made by Enforcement Directorate, that an abbreviation ‘RG’ has been mentioned in connection with the Agusta Westland deal, Bharatiya Janata Party National Vice President said the Congress should clarify who’s this ‘RG’. Former Chief Minister Dr Singh asked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to find out who’s this ‘RG’ and clarify to the people of the state.

If the Chief Minister feels fit, he can order constituting of a SIT for the same. It is worth mentioning here that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday had claimed that someone with an abbreviations ‘RG’ allegedly received Rs 50 crore in-between 2004 and 2016 in connection with the Agusta Westland deal. The revelation was made by the ED in the designated court while seeking remand of an accused in the Agusta Westland case. After the disclosure, it has become a hot political topic as the Lok Sabha elections are on.

The former Chief Minister and BJP National Vice President while raking up the issue said the abbreviation has appeared repeatedly during ED investigations of a dairy said to be of a middleman involved in Agusta Westland deal. Hence the onus is on the Congress to clarify who’s ‘RG’ and whether this ‘RG’ has any connection with the AICC President, asked Dr Singh. Dr Singh further sought clarification from the Congress that in 2004, the AICC President had declared Rs 55 lakh as his property and now how come his property grew to whooping Rs 9 crore in merely 10 years. Dr Singh further asked the Congress to clarify the source of income from which the AICC President leads such a lavish lifestyle and enjoys holidays abroad.

BJP State President Vikram Usendi while reacting on the statement issued by AICC Chhattisgarh In charge P L Puniya, said if Puniya thinks that the AICC President Rahul Gandhi is Chhattisgarh’s leader then he should clarify as to why he didn’t contest from Chhattisgarh, instead he ran to Wayanad in Kerala, a Minority dominated constituency. Usendi further added that Puniya thinks since the AICC President had announced the Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme (NYAY) from Chhattisgarh, he is a leader of Chhattisgarh. He said if the AICC President has so much love with Chhattisgarh, then the Congress which has won 68 seats and has come to power in Chhattisgarh, couldn’t show the guts of inviting Rahul Gandhi to contest from Chhattisgarh. Usendi added that the people have lost faith from Congress in just three months of its governance and that is the reason why Congress here in Chhattisgarh couldn’t garner enough guts to invite its President to contest from Chhattisgarh. Usendi said when the AICC President got the feeling that he would be losing from Amethi this time, he decided to contest from Wayanad in Kerala, a traditional Muslim League seat.
