Dantewada’s Namrata scores 12th rank in UPSC

Namrata Jain, hailing from Naxal-infested district Dantewada (Bastar), bagged 12th rank while Varnit Negi (Bilapsur) got 13th rank in the UPSC examination whose results were announced on Friday. Namarta Jain was a student of KPS Bhilai and completed her B Tech from Bhilai Institute of Technology.
 
This was Namrata’s second attempt for the coveted exam. Earlier (2017) in UPSC examination Namrata Jain got 99th ranking and was awarded IPS, which she did not pursue. She wanted to become an IAS officer so she took a break and appeared again in the examination in 2018. Other candidates from Chhattisgarh who cleared UPSC examination are Ajay Choudary (545 rank) and Yogesh Patel (592 rank).
