Raipur police issue LOC against Dr Puneet Gupta

Raipur police have issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against son-in-law of former Chief Minister Raman Singh and former Medical Superintendent of DKS Post Graduate Institute & Research Center Raipur Dr Puneet Gupta in connection with financial irregularities to the tune of around Rs 50 crore, police said. “Police have issued LOC for Dr Puneet Gupta on charges of financial irregularities of around Rs 50 crore in DKS Post Graduate Institute & Research Center Raipur causing massive loss to the state government,” Gole Bazaar Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Pundhir told The Hitavada.
 
Police sources informed that a police team on Wednesday reached DKS Post Graduate Institute & Research Center Raipur to open the digital locker of Dr Puneet Gupta but nothing was recovered from it. Recently, a notice was issued to Dr Gupta for appearing before police on March 27 to give statement but he failed to turn up following which a search for him has been launched.
 
Notably, following the complaint of Medical Superintendent & Academic Incharge of DKS Post Graduate Institute & Research Center Raipur Dr Kamal Kishore Sahare, Gole Bazaar police has recently booked Dr Puneet Gupta in connection with financial irregularities worth Rs 50 crore causing massive loss to the state government. In his complaint to police, Dr Sahare alleged that during his tenure, Dr Puneet Gupta has recruited ineligible candidates in DKS Post Graduate Institute & Research Center Raipur by taking bribe. Following the complaint of Dr Sahare, police have registered an offence against Dr Puneet Gupta under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 120 B of Indian Penal Code (IPC), which amounting to cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property, forgery of valuable security, will, forgery for purpose of cheating and punishment of criminal conspiracy.
