Light showers, gusty winds lash city
 
 
Weather conditions changed all of a sudden in Bhopal on Friday evening as sky got replete with dark clouds and soon after this, light showers accompanied by gusty winds and lightning activities started to drench the city. People who were on roads were caught unaware by the high velocity winds and drizzling activity. At some places, trees got uprooted, hoardings came down etc. Moreover, power supply got snapped for a while, plunging the city into darkness. People were surprised by the sudden change in weather condition. A tree got uprooted near police control room, affecting the traffic flow adversely.
 
There are also reports that hoardings also fell down at isolated places in State capital, affecting the traffic flow. Light showers, accompanied by high speed winds and lightning, sent shivers down to everyone. Earlier, day was sultry in maximum parts of State, including Bhopal. The maximum temperature of State capital was 41.3 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees above normal level. Its minimum temperature was 22.4 degrees, 2 degrees above normal level. Jabalpur sizzled at maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees above normal. Khargone, Guna, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Naugaon, Damoh recorded maximum of 43 degrees Celsius respectively. Umaria, Khandwa, Shajapur, Betul, Sidhi, Sagar sizzled at maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius respectively.
 
Tikamgarh, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Ujjain, Hoshangabad, Rewa, Bhopal, Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature at 41 degrees Celsius respectively. In its forecast, Weather Department said that light showers are likely in some parts of Ujjain, Chambal, Gwalior divisions. There is possibility of heat wave in isolated places of Sagar, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain divisions and districts including Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa and Shahdol respectively. In last 24 hours, heat wave was experienced in some parts of Sagar and Ujjain divisions and a few places in Gwalior, Indore, Hoshangabad divisions. Warm nights were experienced in Shajapur, Rajgarh and Tikamgarh.
