Collector Bhardwaj inaugurates Pulse Polio vaccination drive

Total 2,244 pulse polio booths have been erected at all the Anganwadi centres, important squares, Government health centres, railway stations
 
 
Collector Chhavi Bhardwaj inaugurated the Pulse Polio vaccination drive by making the children consume the polio drops in Pulse Polio Booth erected at Lady Algin Hospital. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jila Panchayat Rajni Singh was also present on the occasion. About 80 children were given polio drops on first day of vaccination drive.
 
The campaign would be continued from April 8, 2019 to April 9, 2019. The target of giving pulse polio drops to hundred percent children has been determined. A total 2,244 pulse polio booths have been erected at all the Anganbadi centers, important Squares, government health centers, railway station, etc. places. A total 4488 employees and nursing students have been deployed at these pulse polio booths. To inspect these booths a total 324 supervisors have also been deployed.
 
On the first day of pulse polio campaign, polio vaccine was given to a total 79.80 children at Polio booths. The Collector Chhavi Bhardwaj and Chief Health Officer Dr MM Agrawal have instructed to give polio drops to those children who could not be vaccinated on first day of vaccination campaign, by making door to door contact on second and third day of the pulse polio vaccination drive.
