Governor pays obeisance at Buddha temple

Adopting the preaching of Gautam Buddha, Tibetan people residing at Mainpat have created a unique melting pot of different cultures. Expressing her view on the natural and cultural beauty of the Mainpat, Governor Anandiben Patel addressed a cultural programme organised on the Tibetan culture in Surguja district. She remembered the Gautam Buddha’s message of world unity. Earlier, Tibetan people gave a traditional greeting to the Governor.
 
 
She also paid obeisance at the Buddha temple and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the Chhattisgarh. Local school children also presented cultural events in her honour. Governor also toured the tourist places like Tiger point and Jalzali to relish the natural beauty of Surguja. She also suggested developing facilities for the tourists. She also observed the old-age home run by the Tibetan community and met the elderly people. Governor also visited Eklavya Adarsh residential school, where she discussed with children about the facilities.
