I-T raid: Cops, CRPF stand-off at Platinum Plaza

STATE Police and CRPF came face to face as police alleged that some residents of Platinum Plaza complained that they were not allowed to step out of their houses and some even needed to go out for medical assistance. When police officers from TT Nagar police station reached Platinum Plaza, CRPF personnel blocked their way and refused to let them go inside the building.
 
As CRPF personnel had restricted their entry an argument took place between police officers and CRPF personnel. One of the cops even accused CRPF police personnel of shoving him but later raised his hands in the air to show that he was not doing anything physical. State police said that a local resident had approached the SHO and sought help to avail medial assistance and it was after the residents approached, the police went there. One of the police officers of TT Nagar Police Station said that he had nothing to do with the Income Tax raid and the police just came to help the residents who alleged that they were not allowed to go out of their flats. Notably, Delhi Income Tax officials with the help of CRPF conducted raid at the flats of Ashwani Sharma and Prateek Joshi at Platinum Plaza. CRPF has taken over the security of entire building and restricted entry and exit of people.
