Indore, Chhindwara identified as sensitive under expenditure monitoring, says Rao

Two Lok Sabha seats have been identified by the Election Commission as sensitive under expenditure monitoring. The names of both Lok Sabha constituencies are Indore and Chhindwara. Apart from this, 28 Assembly seats have been also identified as sensitive under expenditure monitoring. This was informed by Chief Electoral Officer, V L Kanta Rao to mediapersons on Monday. He also said that six Lok Sabha constituencies will go for polls under first phase of general elections in State and their names are Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Chhindwara. Apart from this, Chhindwara Assembly constituency will also go for by-poll in first phase of elections.
 
He added that as many as 13,000 voting centres identified as sensitive would be covered under CCTV and webcasting. On the last day of filing of nominations, Sidhi Lok Sabha received 13 nominations followed by 10 nominations in Shahdol, nine in Jabalpur, five in Mandla, 11 in Balaghat and 8 in Chhindwara. Apart from this, Chhindwara Assembly seat received nine nominations.He also told that notification for parliamentary constituencies going for polls under second phase will be issued on April 10. In second phase of Lok Sabha elections, seven Lok Sabha constituencies will go for polls and their names are: Tikamgarh, Damoh, Rewa, Khajuraho, Satna, Hoshangabad and Betul. “This time, work of counting votes will start from 8 am,” he told.
