BJPs’ National Vice President Prabhat Jha took umbrage on the language used by Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public rally in Bairagarh on Monday night. Prabhat Jha wanted to know from Sidhu that how a person who is representative of 130 crore people could be a ‘Rashtra Drohi’? He said that Navjot Singh Sidhu himself is a minister and had taken the oath of Constitution then also he used derogatory language against PM and this is violation of law and Constitution. He also expressed surprise that Congress candidate Digvijay Singh was in the public meeting addressed by Navjot Singh Sidhu in his support and despite knowing the Constitution very well, he had not stopped Navjot Singh Sidhu from using objectionable language against PM.

“Whether it is Kanhaiya Kumar or Navjot Singh Sidhu, Digvijay Singh only gets such kind of persons for his campaigning,” he opined. Prabhat Jha has lodged complaint with the Election Commission and Bairagarh police and demanded action against Navjot Singh Sidhu. In the complaint, Jha said that Navjot Singh Sidhu in his rallies dubbed PM as anti-national and a liar and accused him of benefiting some private companies. Sidhu levelled baseless charges against PM to spoil his image.

Hence, the Election Commission should register case against him. Jha also met Governor over the matter and demanded action against Navjot Singh Sidhu. Notably, cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu came to Bhopal on Monday evening and held public rallies in support of party candidate Digvijay Singh.
