Madhotal cops bust gambling den

Continuing with drive against miscreants involved in operation of gambling den, cops from Madhotal, acting on an information, raided a den situated near Katangi by-pass close to house owned by Sushil Malgujar falling under Madhotal police station. The raid conducted proved successful as cops apprehended five gamblers and seized a sum of Rs 48,500 from the spot along with gambling sheet, playing card and tabulation sheet.
 
 
According to information from Madhotal police, on 8.5.2019 late night, one informer informed about congregation of anti-social elements near house of Sushil Malgujar near Katangi by-pass. Acting on the information, a team was constituted, which raided the location and found five miscreants absorbed in gambling.
 
 
The police surrounded the gambling den and gave no chance to gamblers to flee from the spot despite attempt made to move out. Of the four gamblers arrested, four inter-district gamblers are from Gwalior, Bhind, Morena and Suratlai, while the fifth gambler is from Madhotal, Jabalpur. After being caught, they were brought to police station and were identified as Rambhaj Rathore, resident of Gola Mandir Gwalior, Ramveer resident of Rarura Raun, District Bhind, Ravindra Jatav, resident of Gastgoli Kailaras, Morena, Ranvijay, resident of Star city Madhotal Jabalpur, and Seetaram Verma, resident Sanskar City Suratlai. A case under Section 13 of Gambling Act has been framed against five gamblers apprehended by the police, who seized a sum of Rs 48,500 from the spot along with gambling sheet, playing card and tabulation sheet used by the gamblers to maintain record of their game.
