Rahul Gandhi had claimed that loans of former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s relatives, including brother Rohit Singh Chouhan and uncle’s son Niranjan Singh Chouhan, have been waived off by Kamal Nath Government. BJP has denied all such claims

REACTING to the claims of Rahul Gandhi that loans of former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s relatives, including brother Rohit Singh Chouhan and uncle’s son Niranjan Singh Chouhan, have been waived off by Kamal Nath Government, the BJP has denied all the claims and said that no such loan waiver has taken place. Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted that neither Rohit Singh Chouhan nor Niranjan Singh Chouhan had applied for loan waiver. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Rohit Singh Chouhan is an income tax payer then how his loan could be waived off.

It is a conspiracy to put me in dock so that Rahul Gandhi can tell that loan of Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s brother has been waived off.” Chouhan, while addressing a quick press conference at party office on Thursday morning, informed that he is surprised on benevolence being shown by Kamal Nath Government on his relatives. He also asserted that the list of beneficiary farmers given to him by the Congress is concerned then it does not contain UTR or other necessary information of money transaction. Moreover, there is no information of No Dues certificate given by banks and do not contain registered mobile number of farmers. Training guns on the Congress, Chouhan alleged that the Congress had promised that loan up to Rs 2 lakh of all farmers will be waived off but the Government order created category for loan waiver and thus it looks that large number of farmers will be deprived of the benefits.

He said that ground reality of loan waiver is totally different and if CM Kamal Nath comes to know about it then the ground beneath his feet will get slipped. Moreover, he said that BJP is not going to leave Congress Government on loan waiver promise and if the promise is not fulfilled then the BJP will start a big movement after Lok Sabha elections. He said that now farmers are remembering his tenure as they are standing in queue of mandis but their produce is not being purchased. Meantime, he also showed chavanprash bottle, almond and eye drop given to him by the Congress when he sought evidence of farmers’ loan waiver and said that more than him, the Congress needs such things. He authorised BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma and BJP District President Vikas Virani to return the gifted items to the Congress.
