Tight security arrangements for May 12 polling in State capital

Bhopal police have made water-tight security arrangement for free and fair Lok Sabha election to be held on May 12. Seventeen check posts on borders of district have been put up and vehicles coming from outside are being checked thoroughly. Likewise, suspected people are also being questioned.
 
As far as security for election is concerned, then wide security arrangements have been put in place. Around 9,000 personnel of BSF, CRPF, Home Guard and District Force will remained deployed in security. Every Assembly seat will have three flying squad and Static Surveillance team have been made active.
 
Total 42 teams will remain on duty round the clock. They will act promptly on any action. As many as 50 vehicles of dial 100 and 11 mini FRV (bikes) have been also pressed into service. At maximum polling stations, a close eye would be kept through webcasting, CCTV and videography. With the help of around 1200 CCTV cameras, eye will be kept on polling stations. As many as nine companies of central forces, including four each of BSF, CRPF and RAF, have been received so far for security during election.
 
These companies have been deployed at critical polling stations. In the meantime, police are carrying out flag march regularly from past few days. Even on Friday, flag march was conducted in Ratibad and other areas of city. Cops are also visiting dhaba’s and restaurants under security arrangements. Meanwhile, police are also taking action against anti-social elements.
