Regional Science Centre celebrates National Technology Day

Alike every year, Regional Science Centre, Bhopal celebrated National Technology Day this year too on Saturday. National Technology Day acts as reminder of India’s technological advancements. To mark this event and enthuse the students, Regional Science Centre organised a special interactive session on theme Drone and its applications by inviting a young entrepreneur, who had been a student at this centre and pursued his graduation in engineering from Bhopal.
The session was conducted by Yashraj from Jarvis Labs, Bhopal. In the lecture session, he spoke on Drones and their importance in different fields including Science and Technology, Transportation, Public Convenience, Military etc and in the practical session. He demonstrated by flying the Drone and shown its working. Regional Science Centre, Bhopal is working on the communication of science and technology among the visitors of all the age group through its permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational extension programmes, scientific workshops etc and this is one of that, with this motive the Celebration of National Technology Day was organised at the centre on the day.
Around 125 visitors including the members of Innovation Hub, a unique facility in which one can work on the advancement of his scientific and innovative thinking, participants of Vacation Creative Science Workshops with their guardian, general public took advantage of the event. Simultaneously, Vacation Creative Workshops are also running now days and three batches on theme ‘Mathematics, Corel Draw, Robotics have already finished. The centre has started three another batches on theme Physics, Biology and Robotics. In these creative workshops participating students will be provided the hand on experiences on the mentioned themes.
