Mahendra Vajpayee Memorial Lecture held by CTU, Jabalpur

The divisive politics has long history. Its first use was registered in 1961 when riot took place in Jabalpur. That was widely opposed by Mahendra Vajpayee and supporters. In prevailing situation, the divisive politics is at its peak in the country. But simultaneously, its protest democratically also continued across the country, and Kanhiya Kumar and his protest is a live example, said noted Thinker, Professor Apporvanand of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi while addressing the Mahendra Vajpayee Memorial Lecture on Sunday. The programme was organised under the banner of Council of Trade Unions (CTU), Jabalpur.
 
 
Advocate Arvind Shrivastava presided over the programme, while Satyam Pandey convened the programme. At the outset, Trade Union Council, President, S V Ranade enlightened views on life of Mahendra Vajpayee. He added that, Vajpayee founded the trade union movement in Jabalpur. For his unmatched intelligence, strong will and memory, he was respected by all.
 
 
Keynote speaker, Professor Apporvanand said that, divide politics based on caste, creed, religion for vote base, while also created a divide in constitutional institution also. He further highlighted the importance of ongoing Lok Sabha elections and said the election would decide the future of the country. Now nation is at a point where people have to elect a party which believes in divide or democracy.
