Monthly pension of Rs 5,000 to advocates stopping practice at 50

“Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council is an organisation working for welfare of advocates. The council has decided to provide monthly pension of Rs 5,000 to the advocates, who stop practice after 50 years of age and providing library facility to advocates of recognised bar associations,” declared Shivendra Upadhyay, President of State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh while addressing a press conference, on Saturday.
 
 
Upadhyay said that, last meeting of Bar Council was organised prior to the elections. During the meeting, office-bearers and members have unanimously decided to provide monthly pension of Rs 5,000 to the advocates, who stop practice after 50 years of age. Besides this, the council has also decided to provide library facility to advocates of recognised bar associations.
 
 
Advocates of tehsils and district will be given library facility from next month, while monthly pension facility has been proposed to be started from July 1, 2019. Bar Council office-bearers have also appointed Prashant Dubey, Secretary of State Bar Council as Election Officer while Nalinkant Bajpai will be Assistant Election Officer. During the press conference, State Bar Council, Vice-President, Devesh Pathak, Treasurer, Jitendra Sharma, Working President, Prabal Pratap Solanki, members J P Mishra, Rajesh Panje, Roopnarayan Singh, R L Gupta and R K Singh Saini were specially present.
