Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a scathing attack on Congress by raking up 1984 anti-Sikh riots during a public rally in Khandwa on Sunday. Making indirect reference of controversial comment made by Sam Pitroda, he said “they tells whatever happened, so happened,”.

Training guns toward Kamal Nath and without naming him, he said that accused of anti-Sikh riots was made incharge of Punjab and when Punjab leaders raised voice against him, he was made Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister. Talking about Bhopal gas tragedy, he told that accused of gas tragedy was sent off in a plane. “And on being asked, they will tell whatever happened so happened,” he quipped.  He added that when Khandwa’s son Kishore Kumar refused to sing during Emergency, his songs were stopped from being broadcasted. “And when people will ask question from them (Congress) then they will say whatever happened so happened,”.

Mincing no word in criticising Congress, he said that earlier when Pakistan sponsored terrorist used to come and attack us, they (Congress) used to stuff innocent into jails. He said that Congress is getting the reply of the conspiracy in which they tainted saffron. He said that how many rituals or yaganas are done by Congress, it will not be able to get rid of the sin it committed. He asked people to remain alert from Congress as latter do not consider even putting country into peril. He added that first condition of development is security and Khichdi government can’t give security. Taking on Kamal Nath Government, Modi said that Madhya Pradesh Government is confused, anti-social elements have received open license, only one industry that is transfer industry is flourishing. “If this is the condition of one-party government then what will happen in Khichdi government,” he asked.

He said that Congress’ intentions are not good, henceforth its leaders speak lie. He charged Kamal Nath government of stealing the money sent by Centre for people’s welfare. Citing recent I-T raids in Madhya Pradesh, he told that money stashed in sacks was recovered. He also alleged that Madhya Pradesh farmers are unable to get Samman Nidhi as the State Government did not send the list of farmers to the Centre. Congress also stopped schemes of tribals in Chhattisgarh. Even in Madhya Pradesh, Congress is pondering to stop help given to tribals and backward class people.
