Several schools achieving 100 pc results had students strength in single digit

Most of these high schools (till class 10th) and higher secondary (till class 12th) are located in remote rural areas of tribal dominated districts or some are Government ones of the urban areas
Many schools that are affiliated to Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) enjoyed the distinction of bagging cent percent pass result as well as those that received hassle for seeing either below 20% pass percentage or not seeing a single pass the board examination had student strength of single or minimum double digits. Most of these high schools (till class 10th) and higher secondary (till class 12th) are located in remote rural areas of tribal dominated districts or some are government ones of the urban areas.
 
 
Out of 144 schools at different districts of Chhattisgarh that saw none of its students pass or just 10% to 15% pass percentage either in class 10th board examination or students of both classes 10th as well as 12th had students of only nine to 16 students who appeared in the board examinations. Three aided schools are in capital Raipur, Korba and Durg also witnessed only 10 to 14 students appeared for board examinations as these schools are already struggling to get students from last one decade.
 
 
Most of these 144 schools are located either in the tribal dominated and Naxal affected districts of Bastar, Sukma, Dantewada, Naryanpur, Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Bijapur or in districts of Surajpur, Balrampur and Jashpur. An officer of Department of School Education Chhattisgarh said that earlier there was a rule that allowed education department as well as state board to not renew the recognition of schools that did not have minimum student strength of 25 in class 10 or 12.
