Sensation prevailed in Tewar area when the security of historic Tripur Sundri temple was breached by four persons under the jurisdiction of Bhedaghat police station. Thieves took away 70-grams gold and 4-kilograms silver jewellery from the temple early morning on Sunday.

 

 

Thieves managed to break the lock of jewellery box, but failed in taking away more jewellery due to arrival of watchmen deployed for security of the temple. It may be noted that, the temple is being monitored by a committee led by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bhedaghat while other administrative and revenue officers are members. The committee is responsible for management and security of the temple.
