Tribal students outperform urban students in CGBSE

While Jashpur district tops both X and XII examinations with 85.22% and 90.09% results respectively, Bemetara and Janjgir-Champa remain at the bottom of the table
Raipur stands 24th in Class X Exam and 15th in Class XII Exam while Durg stands 12th in both. Bilaspur too fails to secure a berth even in the top ten list
As government schools in rural Chhattisgarh, naxal-hit and tribal-dominated districts in particular, outperformed their urban counterparts of State in the Class X and XII Examinations 2019 conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), the results came as an eye-opener for State Government to find out reasons behind the poor show put up by the Government school in urban areas. It is to be mentioned, the CGBSE declared the results on May 10.
 
 
Jashpur has topped both Class X and XII results with 85.22 per cent and 90.09 per cent respectively. Bemetara district remains at the bottom of the list with 56.16%. Come to the results of Class X. The top six spots in the list of 27 districts have been occupied by tribal dominated districts of Chhattisgarh. While Jashpur scored 85.22 per cent to remain on the top, Surguja and Narayanpur districts stand second and third by scoring 84.85 per cent and 82.56 per cent respectively. Similarly, Kawardha, Sukma and Dantewada have scored 81.3 per cent, 77.61 per cent and 77.6 per cent respectively to come fourth, fifth and sixth in the list of 27 districts. While Durg, considered as education hub, stands 12th with a score of 72.33 per cent in Class X Exam, capital Raipur and Bilaspur stand 24th and 26th in the list with 63.19 per cent and 57.14 per cent.
 
 
Rajnandgaon, Balod, Kanker and Mahasamund stand 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. Similarly, Gariyaband, Jagdalpur, Balrampur, Korba, Dhamtari, Surajpur, Kondagaon, Mungeli, Bijapur, Koriya, Raigarh, Baloda Bazaar, Janjgir Champa and Bemetara stand 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, and 27th with 73.34%, 71, 98%, 71.94%, 70.78%, 70.46%, 70.03%, 69.98%, 69.91%, 67.63%, 66.76%, 63.83%, 63.64%, 59.87% and 56.16%. In Class XII Examination 2019, Jashpur, Balod, Gariaband, Rajnandgaon and Dhamtari occupy the top five sports of the list by scoring 90.09%, 87.21%, 87.01%, 85.47% and 85.32%
