Air India to restart direct flight from Bhopal to Pune in June

National carrier Air India, on Monday, announced that it will start direct flight between Bhopal and Pune from next month i.e June. There was no direct flight connectivity between the State capital and Pune till now. From June 6, the flight will be operated six days a week from Raja Bhoj Airport here except on Saturday. As per the schedule, the new flight will depart from Bhopal at 10:45 am and land in Pune at 12:05 pm. The 150-seater flight would have 12 seats of business class whereas the remaining 138 seats would be of economy class.
 
The national carrier’s management informed that the capital city will develop rapidly due to its air connectivity with other cities in the country. Air passenger traffic in Bhopal witnessed 15% growth in last two years, shows data. It would be very beneficial to the passengers with convenient timings. The new flight will fulfill a long-pending demand of IT professionals and students from the two states working and studying in Pune. Air India had started Bhopal-Pune flight in 2016. However, it was discontinued after couple of months. Since then Air India continues to retain the slot for Bhopal-Pune flight.
