Minor boy killed after being hit by oil tanker

In a tragic incident, a minor aged boy met his untimely death after being hit by a speeding oil tanker in Sahejpur village under the jurisdiction of Bhedaghat police station, on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Ajay alias Babu Gond (15), son of Krishna Gond, a resident of Jaitpur village in Narsinghpur district. According to Bhedaghat police, a man named Dinesh Gond, resident of Jaitpur in Narsinghpur district, lodged a complaint that, he, along with his younger brother, was returning from Sahejpur on his motorcycle number MP-49ML-6607 towards Jaitpur village.
They were passing through Mandi in Sahejpur village when a speeding oil tanker bearing registration number MP-53HA-1289 driven carelessly by the driver rammed into his motorcycle from backside. In the mishap, his younger brother Babu Gond fell down on the road and was crushed under the wheels of truck. Babu succumbed to his grave injuries on the spot of accident.
Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. Meanwhile, the accused oil tanker driver managed to escape from the spot. Acting on the complaint, Bhedaghat police have registered a case under sections 304 (A), 279 and 337 of the IPC and started a search to identify and apprehend the accused tanker driver.
