Police nab absconding accused

Vijay Nagar police succeeded in apprehending the absconding accused of attempting murder and seized three pistols and seven live cartridges from him. The accused has been identified as Aniraj Naidu (30), son of Arun Naidu, a resident of near Ayushman Hospital, Russel Chowk in Omti. Aniraj Naidu is a habitual criminal and active member of Chhotu alias Suyash Choubey’s gang. He is booked in around half dozen sensitive crime cases in different areas. Superintendent of Police, Nimish Agrawal (IPS) disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Monday. SP, Agrawal informed that, on December 21, 2019, police received information of a clash in the area. Police team reached the spot and learnt that the injured had been rushed to the hospital.
 
Police team reached the hospital, where a man named Yash Kumar Dubey informed that, he is trainee at Chartered Accountant Manoj Khera. His friend Ayush Arya had been attacked by Aniraj Naidu, Durgesh Vishwakarma and Shashwat Pandey over an old rivalry. He tried to stop the miscreants when they started abusing him and also attacked him with knife. He tried to protect himself and sustained wound on his hand. Meanwhile, two unidentified men arrived and started abusing him and all the miscreants threatened to kill him and managed to escape from the spot.
 
Vijay Nagar police registered a case under sections 307, 294 and 34 of the IPC and succeeded in apprehending Durgesh Vishwakarma, Shashwat Pandey, Shubham Yadav and Yash Pateria, but another accused Aniraj Naidu, was absconding after the incident. In further investigation, police learnt that Aniraj Naidu is active member of Chhotu alias Suyash Choubey’s gang. Taking a serious note on absconding accused, Superintendent of Police had declared cash reward of Rs 10,000 on Aniraj Naidu. Continuing a rigorous search for the accused, police team, under the supervision of Additional SP (South), Dr Sanjeev Uikey and CSP, Garha, Amit Tolani (IPS) led by SHO of Vijay Nagar, U S Soni received information about the absconding criminal.
 
Acting promptly on the information, police succeeded in apprehending the accused and seized three pistols and seven live cartridges from him at P&T Colony, Vijay Nagar. Vijay Nagar police have registered another case under sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act and trying to take remand of accused from the court for further investigation about his involvement in other crime cases. Absconding criminal was arrested with active working of police team led by SHO, U S Soni, SI, Abhishek Kaithvas, PSI, Kaushal Samadhiya, Head Constables, Rajesh Verma, Constables, Shailendra Patwa, Shashiprakash, Ravi Verma, Vinay Singh and Cyber Cell’s Constables, Durgesh Dubey, Upendra Gautam and Vandit Rajput.
