Asserting that at a time when the biggest festival of democracy is underway and people are enthusiastically participating in this biggest festival, BJP National General Secretary Saroj Pandey stated that it is very unfortunate that during this festival of democracy, the oppressive All India Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, openly attacked the road-show being led by Bharatiya Janata Party National President Amit Shah in Kolkata.

If the governments will act like this in democracy then the prevailing federal system will collapse virtually. In order to maintain this federal system it is necessary that both central and state government should carry out development in unison. It is necessary to maintain this federal system in democracy, which the Mamta Banerjee led government has violated severely.

She has not only openly carried out hooliganism but has challenged the democracy openly and tried to prove that she doesn’t believe in democracy. It is pity that Mamta Banerjee, who had emerged in the state and national politics by fighting against such kind of oppression, is today carrying out the same. BJP National Vice President Dr Raman Singh while addressing media persons, severely criticized the violence and cane-charge near Kolkata University at Maniktola in Kolkata, during the road-show of BJP National President Amit Shah on Tuesday. When she felt that this time the people of West Bengal have started deserting her and she would be thrown out of state polity, she let loose goons of Trinamool Congress under protection of state police to wreck havoc on the streets.
