Centres in Naxal-hit districts see healthy attendance: PET, PPHT

Centres in Durg district recorded highest 86.61 per cent attendance of engineering aspirants 
 
 
Examination centres at Naxal-hit districts of Chhattisgarh witnessed a healthy turnout of candidates as Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) conducted Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (PET) and Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test (PPHT) on Thursday. While one centre of Sukma district witnessed 38 candidates (63.33%), out of 60 enrolled, appearing for the PET, one centre of Narayanpur witnessed 69.57 per cent turnout. One centre of Kondagaon recorded 72.08 per cent turnout as 142 candidates turned for the examination out of 197 enrolled for it.
 
Bijapur saw 70.31 per cent candidates. Six examination centres of Durg district had witnessed the highest 86.61 per cent attendance in CGPET. Similarly, two centres of Dhamtari recorded the second highest 86.09 per cent attendance. On the other hand, nine centres of Raipur recorded 81.79 per cent attendance of CGPET candidates. Out of total 18,675 candidates enrolled for the PET examination, conducted at all the district headquarters, 15,049 candidates had turned up while 3626 candidates were absent. 80.85 per cent candidates had turned up for the PET conducted at 60 centres across the state.
 
Six centres of Bilaspur recorded 77.53 per cent attendance, five centres of Raigarh witnessed 82.20 per cent attendance and three centres of Ambikapur recorded 80.02 per cent attendance. Similarly, 18,339 candidates were enrolled for the Pre-Pharmacy Test of CGPEB, out of which 15280 candidates had appeared for it while 3059 remained absent. Total percentage of candidates was 83.32. The examination was conducted at 57 centres of the 27 districts. Bemetara recorded the highest 88.26 per cent candidates appearing for the examination.
